Dreams

There’s fish in the sea,
You’d think for me,
But things aren’t always what they seem.
Sometime a truth,
In the innocence of youth,
Can lead to nightmares not dreams.

I’m not saying that I love you,
You should know that by now,
I’m not saying that I miss you,
You should know that by now,
I’m just saying you’re the prettiest girl,
I know I’ve ever seen,
I’d give to you all of the world,
And we still have our dreams.

Sometimes a lie,
And another goodbye,
Are things that must come to be.
But the bittersweet truth,
I’ve learned from my youth,
Is that you’re the only girl for me.

What is the chance,
As I play at romance,
That someday my dreams will come true.
Because it’s not a crime,
To spend all my time,
Living my life in love with you.

I’m not saying that I love you,
You should know that by now,
I’m not saying that I miss you,
You should know that by now,
I’m just saying you’re the prettiest girl,
I know I’ve ever seen,
I’d give to you all of the world,
If only we still had our dreams.

There’s another fish,
As I make another wish,
Another tear falls down another cheek.
What is this game,
Always the same,
Played out with those that I meet.

Another fairytale,
Another stormy gale,
Another to block out my fears.
Maybe you’ll be home,
I won’t be on my own,
Whatever know I’ll be waiting here.

I’m not saying that I love you,
You should know that by now,
I’m not saying that I miss you,
You should know that by now,
I’m just saying you’re the prettiest girl,
I know I’ve ever seen,
I’d give to you all of the world,
How I long for our dreams.

Forever’s not true,
Just a whiter shade of blue,
When you see just what it means.
My burning desire,
Our rekindled fire,
An end to just dreaming dreams.

I’m telling you that I love you,
You should know that by now,
Don’t you know that I missed you,
You should know that by now,
You’ve always been to me the prettiest girl,
I know I’ve ever seen,
There’s nothing much matters in all of the world,
Now we still have our dreams.
