Blood Not Peace

Riots on the city streets,
Politicians are calling out,
Shop fronts burning,
Sending out a warning,
You’re here we can’t keep you out.

But who’s there for the man,
Your soldiers meet in the night,
Politics with a fist,
Your beliefs are not his,
Are they reasons to carry on the fight?

BLOOD NOT PEACE
I hear your battle cry,
But they’re my brothers,
I will not join your fight,
BLOOD NOT PEACE
You shout to declare war,
But I ask of you,
Who are you fighting for?

Staring back from my TV set,
You tell the world you’ve gone legit,
Come on vote for me,
I’m here to save the country,
But all I see is a piece of.

BLOOD NOT PEACE
I hear your battle cry,
But they’re my brothers,
I will not join your fight,
BLOOD NOT PEACE
You shout to declare war,
But I ask of you,
Who are you fighting for?

Looking around I’m scared to think,
What would be if you got your way,
For you one country,
Built on your history,
And all the rest they get sent away.

But what if we stood together,
Decided to stand up to you,
Denouncing your cause,
All that you fight for,
Tell me what would you do?

BLOOD NOT PEACE
I hear your battle cry,
But they’re my brothers,
I will not join your fight,
BLOOD NOT PEACE
You shout to declare war,
But I ask of you,
Who are you fighting for?

BLOOD NOT PEACE
I hear your battle cry,
But they’re my brothers,
I will not join your fight,
BLOOD NOT PEACE
You shout to declare war,
But I ask of you,
Who are you fighting for?

NOT ME!
