Shut Up and Die

<male>

You were working in a chemist’s,
The first time that we met,
I went seeking ibuprofen,
And came out in a sweat,
I asked you for your number,
And you laughed right in my face,
You said you didn’t like my body,
But you still came round my place.

<female>

I only went round yours,
‘Cause you said you had satellite,
And by then it was half past twelve,
And my dad locked the doors at night,
You were lying on the bed,
I was homeless what could I do,
Spend the night on the streets,
Or five minutes with you.

<both>

We’ve had our good times,
And so many bad,
So when you’re gone,
Don’t expect me to be sad.
I won’t be in mourning,
There’ll be no tear in my eye,
I’ll be throwing a party,
So shut up and die.

<male>

You loved me like an angel,
But I should have got a clue,
About what you were really like,
After I moved in with you,
At first it was like paradise,
We never made it out of bed,
But slowly you became afflicted,
By a continuous aching head,
Then came the shouting matches,
I left and you said you cried,
But how can I trust you,
When I’ve seen the harridan inside?

We’ve had our good times,
And so many bad,
So when you’re gone,
Don’t expect me to be sad.
I won’t be in mourning,
There’ll be no tear in my eye,
I’ll be throwing a party,
So shut up and die.

<female>

At first it was all roses,
Chocolates and romantic rhymes,
Early nights and lazy mornings,
I’d say they were the best of times,
But soon it all began to turn,
As you sought your friends not me,
Expecting I’d still be awake,
Rolling in at half past three,
Our days they were spent fighting,
And I learnt to dread the nights,
As you stumbled into bed,
Too drunk to even fight.

We’ve had our good times,
And so many bad,
So when you’re gone,
Don’t expect me to be sad.
I won’t be in mourning,
There’ll be no tear in my eye,
I’ll be throwing a party,
So shut up and die.

<male>

You said I was your Romeo,
A love like ours doesn’t often come along,

<female>

You said I was your Juliet,
But even Italian ladies get it wrong,
If I’m honest with myself,
I have to admit that I loved you,

<male>

You made me smile you made me laugh,
I remember I loved you too.

But all the good thing so they say,
Are never destined to last,
An Uzi in the bedroom,
Or a poison in your glass,

<female>

You’d be surprised when you go,
There’ll be a tear in my eye,
As I lift the pillow from your head,
And finally say good bye.

<both>

We’ve had our good times,
And so many bad,
So when you’re gone,
Don’t expect me to be sad.
I won’t be in mourning,
There’ll be no tear in my eye,
I’ll be throwing a party,
So shut up and die.
