The World of Big Brother

In every way we’re taught to learn,
Taught to give more than we take,
From the day that we are born,
We’re told to live and live to hate.
And then we’re told everyday,
How we should think for ourselves,
But we’re policed in every way,
What to drink it’s for your health.

No more steamy love affairs,
Just a succession of nameless lovers,
Nobody left who’s left to care,
Welcome to the world of Big Brother!

Once out there you look around,
Now too scared where you felt safe,
Then suddenly you here a sound,
Who is there don’t stop to wait.
Might have been a cry for help,
Don’t slow down next it could be you,
Ignore the scream for your health,
Don’t look around don’t be a fool.

No more talking in the street,
Hearing about the troubles of her mother,
Everybody’s to scared to meet,
Welcome to the world of Big Brother!

Get back home you shut the door,
Turn the key lock out the world,
You’re alone safe once more,
How it should be forget the girl.
There’s a poll they circulated,
Proved to you, you need no one,
But a hole you have penetrated,
What to do when you’ve got no one?

No more steamy love affairs,
Just a succession of nameless lovers,
Nobody left who’s left to care,
Welcome to the world of Big Brother!

All the rules sent from on high,
What to eat and what to drink,
Are we fools to not ask why,
Who to meet even what to think!
When did we lose they take over,
All our lives run by their rules,
No right to choose anymore,
Though we moan we’re the fools.

No more talking in the street,
Hearing about the troubles of her mother,
Everybody’s to scared to meet,
Welcome to the world of Big Brother!

No more steamy love affairs,
Just a succession of nameless lovers,
Nobody left who’s left to care,
Welcome to the world of Big Brother!
